Submission

The submission deadline has been extended to March 22, 2010.

The theme for Artech 2010 is INTERSECTIONS and we encourage participants to submit pieces within this theme. What does intersections mean? We're leaving that up to you, as an artist, to decide for yourself. When you submit your work, there's a field for a reflection on the piece, and you can include how it represents intersections to you. (If you don't want to submit within the theme, that's fine too!)

Any questions about submissions should be directed to info@rochesterartech.com.

$500 Grand Prizes will be awarded for:

Digital printmaking submissions - A low resolution version of digital printmaking submissions should be uploaded on the submission page, the same as any other submission, to be used for judging. Winners will be asked to deliver their work to the exhibition in March.

Interactive pieces should be uploaded on the submission page unless requiring a server technology, in which case a URI may be submitted. Pieces with multiple pieces should have a clearly identified start page. Pieces should be submitted as stand-alone files or as capable of being played in a web browser.

3D-Installations - Participants submitting under the 3D-Installations category should submit a short digital video of their work for judging. Winners will be asked to install their work at the exhibition in March. Initial submissions should comply with the specifications above for moving images and interactive pieces.

Submission Process - There is a submission fee of $10, which allows for three pieces of art. Anyone in the Rochester area is eligible to participate. Participants may submit as many pieces as they wish, with a $10 fee for every three submissions.

Pieces larger than 12MB should be uploaded to another site and submitted as a URI or should be mailed on CD/DVD in the format specified above to:

Rochester Artech 2010

Rochester, NY 14610

Before mailing any pieces, please complete the online submission process and submit a low-resolution piece in place of the high-resolution one. No pieces will be accepted through mail that have not already been submitted online.
