Anatomical Drawing

02/04/2012

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Why teach Anatomical Drawing? Artists work from the figure on a constant basis. To portray the figure, in any medium, the artist must first understand basic anatomy of the figure. Artists must then take this basic anatomical language and utilize it when portraying the figure. Understanding basic landmarks in correlation to anatomy the artist may better understand how and why the figure appears the way it does. This information may then be used in conjunction with anatomy to create stronger artistic renderings of the figure.
